Golf cart rental is recommended to explore the beauty and charm of the island. Note that island security is very diligent & fines are strictly enforced. Golf cart drivers must be over 16 and licensed & follow strictly enforced speed limits.

The Fine Print
Fees Incremental to Rental
- 11% South Carolina tax on rental contract
- 12.8% Fripp Island Resort tax on rental contract
- $50 per each amenity card – required for everyone over 12 years of age to access Fripp Island Resort properties & services.
What to Bring
- Personal Toiletries – shampoo, soap, lotions, toilet paper, etc.
- Beach towels, beach chairs, etc.
- Paper towels, tinfoil, plastic wrap, zip lock bags, bug spray, bikes (or rent from resort), pool toys, sunscreen & charging devices for your electronics.
Other Island Information
- Do not feed the deer
- Do not approach alligators at any time even in a golf cart
- Golf cart drivers must be over 16 and a licenced driver ($200-$400 fines)
- Speed limits must be observed and are strictly enforced ($200-$400 fines)
